1: Parking Light Confirmation – install

1: PARKING LIGHT INSTALL: The AUSSIE MAX-PLUS keyless entry will lock your car, set your factory alarm and make sound confirmation chirps without the Parking Light Confirmation being connected, so you may choose not to install this feature.

The system is 100% Plug-and-Play up until this point. If you choose to connect the Parking Lights, you will need to make a choice described below.

The Parking Light Confirmation requires only ONE wire be connected to the taillight.  NO external relay is needed as it is already built into the keyless control box.

On w124, w201 and w202 models, all four parking lights will illuminate by connection the one wire to the passenger side taillight connector. (On w126 and r107 models only the passenger side parking lights will flash unless you install a diode in each taillight connector and connect the one PINK / ORANGE wire to the two taillight connectors).

Mercedes Purist:  In order NOT to use a wire-tap, simply solder the PINK / ORANGE wire (+12V), from the keyless control box  to the rear solder joint of pin number # 6 on the six-pin / eight pin taillight connector shown in Pictures 1 & 2. (Connector dismantles) - Or completely install the keyless system, and drive to your local auto electrician and have them solder that one connection. This way not a single wire in the cars wiring harness will be touched  (On a w202 you must use a wire-tap, as there is no solder joint on the plug).

OR - simply use the red wiretap provided ...…. It's only one wiretap after all !

If you are using the wiretap, strip one inch of the black plastic sheath, about two inches from the six-pin connector that attaches to the taillight fixture and find the parking light wire (Picture 1 & 2). On the passenger side the cable is colored GREY / RED STRIPE. (On the drivers side taillight, the wire is Grey / Black Stripe). Connect the PINK / ORANGE wire from the keyless control box to this parking light cable with the wiretape.

Lock the car with the remote button # 1, and all four Parking Lights will illuminate and flash once. (Only passenger side on w126 & r107). Upon un-locking with button # 2, the lights will flash twice. The finder button # 3 flashes the parking lights for 30 seconds but does not un-lock or lock the car.
